About

I have been sewing on and off for most of my life and just really started getting into PDF and clothing patterns within the last couple years and recently begun “hacking” (or changing) patterns to be a little different than originally planned.  I also began testing PDF patterns for designers and would like to be able to share the new patterns and my thoughts for anyone that may be contemplating the new releases.

These are just a few of the sites I regularly use for ordering patterns and/or fabric.  There are many more and I will update periodically.

Please note that many of these contain an affiliate link – this in no way affects your purchase or price of the items.  This just means that the company pays me a very small percentage for any orders placed using the affiliate link.  This allows me to continue purchasing supplies and such to continue making new items for the blog posts.  You do not have to use the affiliate link, but I do appreciate any little bit that does help as it does not change how much you pay and comes directly out of the company profits instead.  So, for those of you that chose to use my affiliate links, I thank you in advance!

FABRIC

These are a few of the sites that I generally check out.

Knitpop – this is a great source for knit fabrics.  They have great regular prices, but often have a very nice sized clearance section, have very fast shipping, and offer a rewards program.  http://www.knitpop.com/?aff=27

Pretty Posh Prints – although there is not a ton of pages upon pages of fabrics, Brenda offers gorgeous fabrics at great prices and I enjoy shopping knowing that I am supporting an actual individual who loves fabrics and not a corporation.  http://www.prettyposhprints.com?aff=22

Sweet ‘n Charmed Fabric Mail – this is a little more costly, but this is one of my favorites for custom style knit fabrics.  As an added bonus, on Fridays, there is a Fat Half Friday sale where certain prints are $5.00 for a fat half, so it’s a great way to get some fabrics to try them out.   http://www.fabricmail.com?afmc=ge

Snowy Owl – this is another custom fabric group, so the prices are a little high, but great quality and hard-to-find prints.  http://www.snowyowlfabrics.com/?aff=9

Ellie & Mac – they offer Children’s and Women’s and often have a certain percentage monthly sale along with Wacky & Free Wednesday sales where certain patterns are discounted to $1.00 that day.  http://ellieandmac.com/?aff=208
